Instructions to flash Vivo Y55 firmware

Before going to the steps, here are what you need to have and do first.

  • A computer.
  • A USB data cable.
  • SP Flash Tool.
  • Backup your personal data.

Notes. Make sure you follow the entire steps without skipping any of them or you might end up bricking your device.

Step 1 — Download QCom Phone Download Tool and then extract the file to your PC.

Step 2 — Now install the Android USB Drivers to your PC. Ignore this step if you have done it.

Step 3 — You need to open the extracted folder of QCom Phone Download Tool, then click the GN_Qcom_Download_Tool.exe.

Step 4 — You can choose the language of your like, go to Scroll Down Arrow on right top corner right beside Minimize button.

Step 5 — On UpDataType tab, select Save Production Data.

Step 6 — On Softpatch tab, click the three dots, and get the stock ROM or firmware you have downloaded to your PC.

Step 7 — Click the Start Download button.

Step 8 — Now remove your device’s battery if it’s removable, then connect it to computer using USB Data Cable while pressing Volume Up.

Step 9 — Qcom Phone Download Tool will begin flashing the firmware.

Step 10 — Now wait for the flashing process to finish.

Step 11 — Once done, put back your device’s battery to its place.

Step 12 — You can now power on your device, wait the booting process to finish, it can take longer than usual as it’s now loading the new firmware.

Notes

{#} Make backup first. Before you flash the above firmware to your device it’s recommended to firstly make necessary backups.

{#} Flash IMEI. You need to also flash the original IMEI after flashing the firmware to your Vivo device.
